That’s why a prominent Mayfair hedge fund recently commissioned us to update their offices with custom made concrete furniture. In particular, they wanted us to focus on their client areas, reception desk and executive spaces as concrete exude a sense of steadfastness and security.
We sent over one of our experienced consultants to evaluate the space and speak to the client with regards to their needs and expectations and proceeded to design and manufacture a bespoke range of conference tables, a reception desk and ancillary furniture using specialised concrete.
For the reception desk we put together a design using concrete as the primary finish on all the fasciae. The desktop benefited from a wood laminate finish while the frame was constructed from Ash with formed concrete panels hanging from there.
We designed the meeting tables to be built with a solid walnut base and frame – stained to a tint specified by the client – which was supported by steel crossbeams that served to carry the weight of the tops. The meeting table tops were solid concrete formed, finished, polished and waxed. As one would expect from any modern meeting table, our tailor-made tabletops also had inset cable management with data, USB and power, finished in the same material as the base.
To add finishing touches to the project, we had our Yorkshire-based specialist artisans build matching coffee tables we had designed to compliment the other furniture pieces in executive office areas.
