Recently, Simon Mottram, the founder of cycling apparel empire, Rapha (we’re big fans) asked Richard Parr and Associates to completely overhaul his and his wife’s north London double-fronted Edwardian-era house. According to Dezeen “[t]he clients wanted a rich, warm, elegant contemporary style, retaining the building’s key original features,” explained Richard Parr, founder of Richard Parr and Associates. “They wanted to step out of the mould and achieve something unique.” And what adds to this unique feel is the furniture used in the interior design. Simple, elegant pieces add a sense of timelessness to their home, while the odd pop of colour becomes a focal point and lends some excitement.
